Do you like coffee?

So I’ve finally finished this cute mug stuffy! I know I mentioned knitting a glove but I wanted to finish this first since I was almost done. I saw this design when I was browsing through the internet the other day and because it’s just so adorable I had to make it! There was no pattern for this stuffy, so I ended up making my own pattern!

I’m not a professional pattern writer so if you’re confused, feel free to comment, ask, or email me! Also, if anyone is interested in purchasing the item, it is also available!

I didn’t however, come up with the design on my own, so I do not claim ownership over the design of this pattern. All I did was recorded down my own pattern, and therefore I can show it here!

So, for those of you interested, here’s the pattern!!

Cute Coffee Mug

**Keep in mind that if your current row started with a ch 1 (to ensure consistent height of your current row), you have to skip one and do a sl st onto the next one when you do a sl st at the end of row. This is because when you ch 1, you have “added” an extra stitch when that stitch is suppose to be for height only. This was a common mistake I used to make =)

Cup

Inside

6 st in a magic loop, sl st, ch 1(6)

R1                    2 sc in each st around, sl st, ch 1 (12)

R2                    2 sc in each st around, sl st, ch 1 (24)

R3                    Sc around, sl st, ch 1 (24)

R4                    (2 sc in each st, sc) rep around, sl st, ch 1 (36)

R5                    Sc around, sl st, ch 1 (36)

R6                    Working in front loop only: sc around, sl st, ch 1 (36)

R7-19              Sc around, sl st (36)

Fasten off

Outside

6 st in a magic loop, sl st, ch 1(6)

R1-4                Repeat R1-6 of Inside

R5                   Sc around, sl st (36)

R6                    Working in back loops only R5 on the inside and at the same time back loops of the outside: sc in each st around (36)

R7-18              Sc around (36)

R19                  Sc around, sl st (36)

R20                  Ch 3 (counting this as the first dc) dc in each st around, sl st (36)

R21                  Ch 3, dc in each st around, sl st (36)

R22                  Holding your work with right side facing out, fold R21 (the most recent row) inwards so that you have two layers (the tip of this row should now match the tip of the inside layer). Working through both the loops of the next st from R21 and the inside layer, sc in each st around (36) This forms the lip at the top of the mug.

Fasten off

Handle

5 st in a magic loop, sl st, ch 1(5)

R1-11              Sc in each st around 9 (5)

Fasten off, sew to mug.

Attach eyes, mouth and cheek lights as desired.

6 st in a magic loop, sl st, ch 1(6)

R1                    2 sc in each st around, sl st, ch 1 (12)

R3                    Sc around, sl st, ch 1 (24)

R4                    (2 sc in each st, sc) rep, sl st, ch 1 (36)

Fasten off

Whipped cream

6 st in a magic loop, sl st, ch 1(6)

R1                    (2 sc in each st, sc) rep, sl st, ch 1 (9)
